Stay Warm and Have Some Fun at These New Haven Indoor Attractions

We know that the temperature is dropping, but that doesn’t mean that you need to stay holed up in your 360 State apartment – there is lots to do in New Haven where the only outdoor venturing you will need to do is a short walk or drive!

If January has got you feeling a little stir crazy, then take the family or your friends to these local indoor attractions to keep you busy all winter long. From movies, to planetariums, to malls and more, there is something for everyone to do this weekend!

Art Plus Studio New Haven, located at 1207 Chapel St, New Haven which is a fifteen minute walk from your 360 State apartment, is a teaching art studio featuring daily group BYOB painting classes in a relaxed, social setting. Their experienced instructors make painting a masterpiece easy, fun and totally stress free.

All supplies are included, and don’t forget they are BYOB, so bring a little liquid courage to help get those creative juices flowing! These classes are perfect for beginners, so grab your friends, coworkers, plan a unique date night, or fly solo and meet some creative people.

Leitner Family Observatory and Planetarium, located at 355 Prospect St, New Haven which is an eight minute drive from your 360 State apartment, is within the Yale astronomy center with two telescopes and a universe-simulation theater for students and the public.

The planetarium is open to the public on Tuesday nights and Sunday afternoons for free shows. On clear nights, after the show, they offer free viewings of the night sky through their massive telescopes.
