The Long Wharf Theatre, located at 222 Sargent Drive, New Haven which is about a mile and a half from your 360 State apartment, is a nonprofit regional theater featuring two stages, offering new plays and modern versions of classics. Until March 12, ‘Napoli, Brooklyn’ will be staged, which is a co-production with the Roundabout Theatre Company directed by Gordon Edelstein. It is about the women of the Muscolino family, who are desperate to find a life beyond their four walls, hiding dreams, loves and longings.
From March 15 until April 9, ‘Smart People’ will be staged, which is directed by Desdemona Chiang. This play explores the deep questions of race and identity in this controversial and fiercely funny performance.
