With Thanksgiving’s end, there is still plenty of Holiday cheer and activity to look forward to in New Haven this year. Starting with the annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting event on November 28th from 6-8pm, going on at the Branford Green. This holiday event starts with a Christmas parade at 6PM with the tree lighting by Santa at the end of the parade. While you are in town, do some window shopping in this quaint New England town at all their local stores.
The 14th Annual Classic New England Tradition of Lamplight Stroll takes place this year on December 4th from 5:30-9pm. Visitors enjoy a nostalgic experience celebrating the holiday season in true festive style. Downtown Milford’s finest shops, spas and salons will enthusiastically greet visitors with refreshments, holiday cheer and unique holiday shopping opportunities. Participating businesses include at least 20 different vendors this year. Head over to 5 Broad St, Milford, CT to enjoy the event.
On December 12th from 10am-12pm, look forward to Shubert Theatre’s free Family Fun Day with holiday themed arts & crafts, face painting, holiday film shorts, snacks, refreshments and more holiday cheer. In addition, the New Haven Board of Alders and the Shubert Theatre have partnered for a community food and toy drive. You’re invited to bring non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys. All food will be distributed to food pantries throughout New Haven, and the New Haven Fire Department will help distribute toys to New Haven-based family organizations.
