September in New Haven is full of fairs and festivals for our residents to enjoy this month! To start off, The Odyssey Greek Festival will take place Labor Day weekend. The festivities begin September 4th and end Monday, September 7th. Hosted by the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, Odyssey Greek festival is free to attend and will include: food, cooking demonstrations, music, rides, and much more. North Haven’s Annual Fair takes place September 10th-13th; and is sure to be better than ever. Admission is $5 Thursday, $10 Friday-Sunday, and free for children under 12. Bring the family and enjoy live music, exhibits, contests, food, and even Old McDonald’s farm, where kids can get up close and personal with a few of Old MacDonald’s closest friends!
On September 18th-19th enjoy Milford’s Irish Festival. The Festival kicks off on Friday (6-11 p.m.) with live music by Kevin McKernon. Partake in food samplings, beer, the Irish Marketplace, and much more. Look forward to a full day of Irish festivities on Saturday (11 a.m.-11 p.m.), with more live music, Irish dance, the Irish Marketplace, a tea room, traditional Irish music, step dancing and bagpiper demonstrations. For adults over the age of 12, $5 admission on Friday and $12 on Saturday; for a two-day pass admission is $15.
